New York — NY Despite there being at least one more season of the critically acclaimed and popular series, HBO has announced it will reboot the series next year, having the existing season and the reboot running concurrently. “We did the numbers on this and we looked at the pipeline and just said ‘fuck it, let’s reboot it now while it’s still hot’,” said Greg Balfry, head of programming. “This monumental series is too important to only have one version of it. People say that Hollywood is out of ideas, but nothing could be farther from the truth. We have plenty of great ideas in development right now. The fact is, the public is out of attention for new properties.”
